【西澳】Brief Stroll in Kings Park, Perth

过州公干的时候提早完成任务，于是趁机到 Perth 的 Kings Park 去走走。公园太大，显得四处无人，正适合省思自我、沉淀思绪。

我想每个人都需要一个环境整理头脑里的一切。

In their young days John and Priscilla were voyagers at the sea, their favourite stories being the Mediterranean, the Mariana islands, and the Coral Sea.

But they have retired to the land as osteoporosis slowly crunches their bones. The good old periscope in the backyard now looks back to the forgotten past.

【西澳】“美丽”背后的故事

看似漂亮的黄海，是油菜籽 (canola) 农地。此农作物虽然暂时应付了食油/副产品危机，却继续为环境带来危害（加剧土地开拓、农药、杀虫剂污染等等）。

西澳这片土地上，已有超过90%的原始树林因为农业和畜牧业而消失。取代之的是一片“漂亮”却单一品种的农地。

消费者继续扮演者重要的决策者身份。适量消费，一人一点点力量，能减轻人类对环境所带来的压力。

经过一连串季雨的灌溉，西澳树林的土地上又冒出了一朵朵生命。动物的遗骨和缓慢腐烂的朽木，将提供养分给一代又一代的新生命。

九月芒果

新的一个月来临了，顿觉房东旁院的芒果树花开了。知晓这是一颗芒果树的原因，是因为一个路人笑问：“你家芒果树快结果了？”

Being uninvited

A casual photographic stroll during a work break led to threatening swoops by three territorial noisy miners. These birds are often seen mobbing to chase away competitor or predators, such as brush turkeys, ibises, cormorants and even large mammals like dogs and cattles. Oh, and humans.

大学的湖成为了逃离电脑荧幕和的好去处。休息时间的走动偶尔比咖啡更能提神。做生态的都希望办公室也是露天，能好像动物们那样晒太阳。当然，暂时忽略皮肤癌和雨天⋯⋯
