If you think you're capable (or interested) of watching very calm and quiet movie, then try Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968).
If you started to watch and think Kubrick's a stupid director in the half way, then visit this website to see how stupid you are. Because you just don't understand what is the philosophy behind, like me. I tried to interpret the director's ideas behind the scene, but it was fruitless, until I was explained.
Again, my recommendation. Spend 141 minutes to watch, get a lifetime's knowledge.

ReplyDelete上个星期的film lecture是看了个难得不会闷且还蛮enjoy的戏叫'the three burials of Melquiades Estrada'.
看这套戏是要看它的narrative手法,因为里面有很多flashbacks的.是讲一个mexican illegal immigrant在texas被杀了过后的故事.=)

谢谢，我看了那部电影。Narrative是不是叙述，而不是旁白？这种没有什么可以修饰的flashback，让人感受到静的张力。尤其是最后一次flashback，Melquiades回忆他的“家”的时候。
