Potted Plants: human need and negligence for nature
Project statement: Potted Plants: human need and negligence for nature (2012) is an ongoing photographic project that documents neglected pots around human living places. These pots, often bearing half-wilted plants under artificial lighting, reflects our desire to be close to nature, but rarely is this a long-term commitment due to the take-it-for-granted mentality. Such human nature at a small scale might explain people's unresponsiveness to today's biggest environmental problem: climate change.
