Scientific photography as Art

我觉得，科学性摄影，也可灌之以艺术。JP Grime 的 《Plant strategies, vegetation processes, and ecosystem properties （2001）》中，有两页的插图吸引了我的注意。


吸引我的并非插图的内容本身，而是它们的排列组合（juxtaposition）和图案（pattern）。想象，如果这些插图被放大 10 倍，然后挂在画廊的墙上，会是怎么的感觉？由于科学家天生就是相对认真的人物，所以他们所拍摄或排版的照片，自有一种规律和拍子。

摄影有时和生态学很像。摄影师和生态学家，都是从杂乱中寻找规律的人。
