This seminar provides an account of the “Islamisation’ phenomenon in Malaysia, a nation governed by a secular constitution. The harnessing of the Islamic religion as a strategy for galvanising political support from the Malay community in Malaysia has serious ramifications for the maintenance of national harmony and the state of constitutionalism. The seminar canvasses some of the problems engendered by this phenomenon.

Public seminar "Mosque and State in Malaysia – The Blurring of Constitutional Boundaries", UQ, Brisbane
UQ, Brisbane. 2012. Pentax K1000. Self-developed Kodak 400TX.
